A twelve year veteran of the Internet of Things, Pete is a subject matter expert on IoT in health Care and Security. He currently advises MedStar Health, a large system in DC/MD/VA with ten hospitals and hundreds of outpatient offices, on their Consumer and IoT Health Initiatives.

Pete was an early employee at one of the great IoT success stories, home security leader Alarm.com (NASDAQ: ALRM) which was spun out of MicroStrategy (NASDAQ: MSTR). As a VP at Alarm.com, Pete also helped start a Remote Patient Monitoring company called BeClose, which was a first-mover in healthcare IoT, relating to helping the elderly age-in-place.Prior to launching BeClose, Pete worked in other aspects of healthcare, including his own venture-backed firm that hosted DICOM images for large providers (DashCenter).

Pete serves on the Board of Directors of a Charlotte, NC-based non-profit called Start a Snowball, which makes micro-grants to kids to encourage philanthropy. Start a Snowball has given over $100,000 in $100 increments to children and teens for service projects across all 50 states.

Pete has an MBA and a BA from the University of Virginia, and is a frequent speaker on Healthcare Innovation at industry conferences.
